The Studio exhibit area in Building 2 is THE place to explore current research in the medical sciences. One of the first topics is Global Health and will feature the role of the zebrafish in helping medical researchers develop therapies against tuberculosis (TB). The current TB vaccine was developed over 90 years ago and is only partially effective and new strains of TB show resistance to current medications. Researchers in Washington state are helping to address these issues by working on more effective TB vaccines and drugs. The Studio will feature new topics every six months. Beginning this fall, The Studio will change locations and will be a part of Professor Wellbody's Academy of Health & Wellness.
